Each pair begins with a retro sneaker model, reimagined through ABOVES GARDEN’s signature approach to custom rework, combining premium fabrics, textured materials, and carefully selected leather to create a completely new wearable art piece.

By working with retro footwear, some pairs may feature natural fading, discoloration, or signs of age from the original materials. These details are part of the character and history of each shoe, adding depth, texture, and individuality to its transformation. Rather than erase the past, we build upon it giving every pair a new identity through unique fabric combinations, custom detailing, and handcrafted design.
